Henyi AMCOS

Where Every Harvest Includes Every Voice

In Mbozi’s fertile highlands of Tanzania’s Songwe Region, ancient volcanic soil and a cool, steady climate slowly mature coffee cherries at altitudes between 1,500 and 1,900 meters. The result is a smooth-bodied Red Bourbon cup with gentle acidity and warm notes of cocoa, dried fruit, and subtle spice — a naturally rich, comforting sweetness.

Women have always worked these farms. What changed is that their voices now carry the same weight as their hands. As more women stepped into leadership, the cooperative grew stronger, quality improved, and families found new confidence in the future they were building together.

Henyi’s story is not only about better coffee — it is about a community discovering that inclusion creates excellence.

Ipyana AMCOS

Growing Coffee. Growing Leaders.

In Songwe’s Mbozi District near Mlowo Town, South Tanzania, coffee grows at an altitude of 1,900 meters, producing balanced sweetness and clean, vibrant character. Established in 2006 to advance small-scale farmers, Ipyana AMCOS grows washed Kent-varietal coffee.

For many years, women helped cultivate every harvest while rarely helping shape the cooperative’s future. Today, that story is changing. Women are becoming leaders, decision-makers, and role models, helping guide a new generation of coffee farmers — proving that stronger communities begin when everyone has a place at the table.
